UDR / Royal Irish Regiment Memorial Poppy
Honour the service of those who served in the Ulster Defence Regiment and Royal Irish Regiment with this handcrafted memorial poppy display. Combining the regimental cap badge with the traditional symbol of remembrance, it provides a lasting tribute to military service and sacrifice.
A proud military history
Formed in 1970, the Ulster Defence Regiment played a vital role throughout Operation Banner, providing local knowledge and support during one of the longest and most demanding operations in British military history. In 1992, the UDR amalgamated with the Royal Irish Rangers to form the Royal Irish Regiment, continuing that tradition of service.
In recognition of the courage and commitment shown by both regiments, they were collectively awarded the Conspicuous Gallantry Cross, one of the United Kingdom's highest awards for gallantry.
