This 216 Parachute Signal Squadron Poppy Memorial is a veteran-made tribute created to honour the service, commitment and airborne heritage of those who served with 216 (Parachute) Signal Squadron, Royal Signals.

About 216 Parachute Signal Squadron
216 (Parachute) Signal Squadron is part of the Royal Corps of Signals, providing communications and information systems support to 16 Air Assault Brigade.
The 216 designation dates from 1959, while the squadron’s heritage reaches back to the 1st and 6th Airborne Divisional Signals of the Second World War. Its history includes service in Cyprus, Aden, Borneo and Northern Ireland, followed by later deployments to Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan. This memorial pays tribute to those who served with the squadron and honours their contribution to the proud traditions of British airborne forces.
